This table from the I Do in Style bridal show gave the feeling of natural luxury. Raw cotton, succulents, brooches, crystals, quince branches, moss, French tulips, lotus pods & spider mums…gorgeous! The sweetest wren detail, complete with feather eggs & metallic & tiffany blue color accents created a natural opulence. Who wouldn’t love cotton & crystals together?

This past February, I designed flowers for a couture bridal show, I Do In Style. Each table design featured a different concept & color palette, while overall achieving a coordinated look. Bronzed iron & amber glass, along with white china, and ivory/chocolate linens completed the setting. Cream roses, French tulips, hanging amaranthus, golden wheat, cymbidium orchids, pheasant feathers, lotus pods, sola flowers, and white anemones were perfect in creating organic, natural designs, with a gilded look. I love mixing styles, giving the unexpected!

Looking back through some more favorite shoots, I had such fun creating bouquets for a styled shoot in May a few wedding seasons ago! The very fun & talented Beth Cardwell provided some wonderful shots. I love being able to play with texture & colors of flowers, sometimes showing brides for the first time what they can have too!

In September of 2009 I designed the flowers for Esther and Patrick’s wedding. Here are a few of the best shots from their beautiful wedding day. Photos by Brooke Courtney.

Since I had spent so much time and energy creating the flowers for the I Do In Style bridal show, I asked Brooke Courtney to shoot some styled images of my arrangements. Brooke picked up the perishable flowers and bouquets from my house and shot them in her Grandfather’s backyard. We decided to hold on to several of my designs (that are not perishable) and work them into a styled-shoot at a later (warmer!) date. I’m really looking forward to the vintage inspired session we’re planning.
Don’t forget to fill out my contact form if you’re interested in having me design the flowers for your wedding!

In June of 2010 I was asked to design a bouquet for Brooke Courtney (again!), to be used in a shoot that was being considered for the cover of Southern Weddings Magazine. While Brooke’s images weren’t picked for the cover, a few still made it in the magazine and on the Southern Weddings website. I loved working with the colors orange and teal – and the photos turned out beautifully!

Last spring I was asked to design and create a bouquet for a styled bridal session with Brooke Courtney. Brooke emailed me photos of Emily’s dress and the butterfly hairpiece Emily made so I could use them as inspiration. Here are a few shots from that session!
