I was given the pleasure of doing the flowers for Brooke Courtney Photography. Brooke is a good friend of mine and when she told me that she need some flowers for a styled bridal shoot I jumped at the chance. I love the way the pictures and the flowers turned out!

Fab Feathers & Flowers

I love working with brides who have unique ways to display their personal style. Over Memorial Day weekend, I had the pleasure of designing wedding flowers for the coolest, prettiest, nature loving gal/hunter I have yet to meet! Lots of pods, berries, & spotted guinea feathers created gorgeous bouquets when mixed with fresh flowers. Green & purple always look wonderful together, I loved being able to work in some of my favorites, fresh green lotus pods, stellada pods, green dianthus, ranunculus, freesia, stock, & alchimella.

Double Wedding Weekend

I love weddings… so a double wedding weekend is lots of work…but lots of fun! My first wedding happened on Sat. May 22nd, & had a natural/garden vibe, lots of fuschia, purple, & green. The bride used natural seed balls & paper cut-out birds as well. Curly willow branches tied everything together!

Sunday, May 23rd was the date for my second wedding. This bride & groom met while salsa dancing, so bright orange, green, chocolate, & ivory seemed perfect, especially for a dress called mango tango! Coffee is also important to the groom’s family, so I used coffee beans in every place I could! Lots of Latin flavor & music made the day so fun!

The lovely Regina from Radiant Images Photography shot these pics of my bouquets this past weekend, when I think of spring changing over to summer, one of the first colors I think of is bright pink & bright green together! It must be all those annuals everyone starts to plant in pots & window boxes, for whatever reason, I love those two colors together!

Well…wedding season has began! A perfect evening for an outside event, the weather could not have been nicer for April 30th! A beautiful setting @ Riverdale Manor with a fun bride & mom = a fantastic design! Lots of fresh green, purple & touches of lavender to create that romantic feel everyone loves! Just a few of my favorite pics, when I get the professional ones from the great KM photography, I’ll have to post again!!!

Today I met for the second time with a really cool bride & her mom, to show a sample guest table piece for her July wedding. Her colors are purple, lilac, teal, & silver. GORGEOUS!!! Anyhow, her theme incorporates natural birds nests & vining branches, which I love. We want lots of candle light & glass to reflect the light & of course, natural, elegant, garden blooms. I am amazed at how ideas transform with beautiful flowers, by texture, scent, & color. How divine. I feel so excited for my next wedding, where I can go crazy with my flowers. Good thing I only have to wait a few more weeks!

Beautiful jewel tone reds, crimson, magenta, & fuschia paired with elegant creams & ivory. Add in natural greens & organic elements & you have a fabulous natural couture look, perfect for a beautiful, fall day! I love adding in the unexpected, trumpet vine pods & fresh hazelnuts!
